Leerdam a small town, but many historic buildings. These buildings bear witness to a rich history. Consider, for example, the late-Gothic brick crucifix that was built between 1400 and 1550. The gate of the former Drossaard house, The Hofje of Mrs. van Aerden, The old Posthuys, Or the Het Veerhuis, where the ferry to one of the four city gates was originally enter.
